DFAT Temporary Employment Register - Finance/Accounting Positions
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is responsible for advancing the interests of Australia and Australians internationally and provides foreign and trade policy advice to the government. We work with other government agencies to ensure that Australia's pursuit of its global, regional and bilateral interests is coordinated effectively.

Examples of the types of roles filled on a short-term basis are:

- Budget Coordinators
- Accountants
- Staff for project or policy work
- Staff for Corporate Generalist positions
- Staff for Property Management
- Contract and Procurement Officers
The duration of a non-ongoing vacancy may range from a week to several months (12 months) and most vacancies arise in Canberra. Applicants must be Australian Citizen's to meet the department's eligibility requirements for engagement.
