MIGAS has a fantastic opportunity for you to complete a Certificate 3 in Engineering Mechanical (Fitting and Turning) while working with a large and reputable company at Lytton.

To be successful you will have high safety awareness, a good degree of mechanical aptitude, an interest in machinery and how things work, excellent maths skills, good problem solving skills, be comfortable working at heights, be self motivated and have a great initative and the ability to competently follow detailed work instructions.

Some of your job duties will include;

• Basic machining
• maintenance of machine parts
• fitting for pipework
• rotating pump/gear box overhauls
• CRUDE heater burner repairs and operations
• milling machine work
• welding
• oxy cutting
• general fitting
• contributing to site safety and hazard minimisation and
gaining an understanding of plant and process operations

Hours are Monday to Friday (but may vary) 7am until 3:15pm, based on a 9 day fortnight RDO once a fortnight is unpaid. Overtime may be required. Public transport is limited so own car and licence is desirable.
