This is an opportunity for professional and suitably qualified Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineer to join this well known government transport organisation. You will be developing detailed project estimates for maintenance and capital works on the Sydney rail network corridor.

You will be responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate estimates and assisting the project teams. You will work closely with stakeholders to obtain a full understanding of site conditions to ensure accurate estimates and material take-offs are obtained. You will also be responsible for identifying cost risks and opportunities linked with submissions, as well as normal day-to-day estimating activities.

To be considered for the role you need to hold qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, 5-8 years experience in a multi-disciplinary civil construction environment with a minimum of 5 years estimating for large heavy engineering or infrastructure projects.  You also need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge in tendering and estimating for commercial construction projects to Australian Standards. 

Experience using CANDY or similar estimating software would be an advantage.
