This registered non-self accrediting higher education institution and pathway provider is a controlled entity of one of the top universities in Sydney. There are over 5,000 students from about 90 countries studying academic pathway programs and English language Intensive courses at the Sydney campus.

They are currently looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor for an immediate start to assist the HR team for the next 12 months. Reporting to the General Manager of Human Resources, the role will partner with Managers in the attraction, recruitment and retention of quality staff and deliver professional HR support service across the company.

Working across a number of HR disciplines including recruitment, orientation, internal communications, coordination, procedures and administration, the key duties of the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment - Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for Sales, Marketing, ICT, ELT permanent staff and management positions, and conducting orientations sessions for new starters
  • Health & Safety - Representing the business and HR on the OH&S committee, ensuring all WHS committee members are trained, responding to any issues and leading the investigation and resolution of any WHS incidents and injuries.
  • Injury Management - Acting as the rehabilitation coordinator for any staff injured in the workplace and oversee all related processes, procedures and communications to staff
  • Internal Communications - Content and editorial responsibility for WHS and Wellbeing pages, and editing, updating and publishing notices, articles etc as required
  • Wellbeing - Coordinating 3 campaigns, including flu vaccinations
  • HR Reporting - Producing monthly reports as required, and reporting monthly on WHS and Worker's Comp cases
  • Remuneration & Benefits - Coordinating and supplying information about benefits including super, novated leasing, assisting with salary reviews and bonuses, conducting benchmarking reviews of teaching rates and publishing remuneration information
  • Staff Engagement - Assisting in developing and implementing communication plans and participating in initiatives resulting from the survey feedback
  • Employee Relations - Assisting with the resolution of conflicts and disputes should they arise

In addition to experience in all of the above duties, the successful candidate will be HR qualified and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a HR Generalist role, extensive resourcing experience and a thorough understanding of labour market law and workplace health and safety. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must, in addition to both numeracy and computer literacy.
