HR Business Partner - Strategic Frontline Focus

  • Significant national presence - consumer goods and services sector
  • Set and drive the people strategy for a key business unit
  • Influence all levels of the business to reinforce HR as a proactive partner

The success of this national business in providing the right products and services to its customers hinges on the skill, satisfaction and aspirations of its people. To enhance the strong performance of the company, the Human Resources team plays an integral role in supporting organisational growth through effective partnership with the business, at all levels. Importantly, this partnership manifests in the planning and execution of a people strategy that engages, develops, challenges and drives optimal behaviours, attitudes and outputs in the companys most important asset. A career-defining opportunity has now arisen for an HR professional with strategic nous to make an impact on one of the largest and most influential client groups within the business.

Reporting to the General Manager of Human Resources, you will use your Generalist and strong IR/ER experience in a customer driven, frontline environment to strategically and tactically partner with the business. At a macro level, you will devise a meaningful people strategy for your business unit; at a micro level, you will make it happen through astute influencing and project management skills. Underlying this large piece of work will be your consistent support to the team across the gamut of Generalist accountabilities. The role is skewed towards the strategic element but naturally keeps its finger on the pulse of day-to-day operational aspects.

If you are the right fit for this role, your background will encompass:

  • A proven track record as an HR Generalist within a frontline facing business where the customer is the biggest priority.
  • Experience at HR Business Partner/Manager level where you have had strategic input and influence, with a clear ring fence of accountability for a sizeable business unit. You can clearly demonstrate your ability to bring HR into an organisations pre-decision making process.
  • IR/ER experience. You will have touched an EBA and managed grievances competently through to resolution. You are comfortable and competent advising on IR matters and effectively managing risk to the business.
  • Strong influencing skills - the ability to win stakeholders over to new ideas and concepts that may be multi-dimensional.
  • A practical, service driven, resilient and grounded approach.

In return, you will see your career shift up a gear and have lots of fun along with way within a business that is not only successful, but enjoys sharing its success with its people.
