A rare opportunity has presented itself for an experienced underwriter to be an integral part of this growing ISR underwriting team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work with an experienced team and be empowered to take ownership of your portfolio and introduce positive changes to the organisation.
Your role:
Underwriting a portfolio of new business and renewals
Achieving budgeted retention rates on renewals
Strategically planning to achieve profitable growth while being supported by a development team Develop and maintain strong relationships with a panel of brokers
Managing risks within the respective delegated authority
Ensure timely delivery of documentation in line with company standards and legislation
You will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years experience in ISR products
A minimum of 6 years experience in underwriting commercial property and liability
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex risks
Sound negotiation skills and ability to handle conflict
Ability to develop and maintain solid relationships with intermediaries
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels
