Legal Secretary - Tax

Great opportunity to join a specialist legal practice on the Terrace. Supporting 4 Lawyers - all of who work part time - this is an interesting role!

Your duties will include:

  • High volume creating, formatting and editing documents and correspondence
  • Attending to telephone calls for the office
  • Taking detailed messages, and assisting clients where appropriate
  • Attending to the mail - incoming and outgoing
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Billing
  • Assisting with kitchen duties (stacking dishwasher etc)
  • Making coffee for clients if required
  • General office duties - filing, photocopying, faxing etc

This is a small team and we require an experienced Legal Secretary who is happy to pitch in wherever needed. You will be working alongside one other Secretary supporting a team of six Lawyers in total between you.

To be considered for this position you must have:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience as a Legal Secretary
  • Commercial experience
  • A speedy and accurate typing speed (minimum 65wpm, with 95% accuracy or above)
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word
  • Previous billing experience, Perfect Balance experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player, who is also able to work autonomously
