It is important for your personal and professional growth to learn as much as possible from your current position. Your co-workers have different strengths and weaknesses which you can learn from and, as a result, increase your success of working as a team. Make sure you pay attention, ask for demonstrations and request guidance.
Tip 1. By watching how your co-workers interact with other team members and superiors you can learn from how others react to them, their own strengths and weaknesses and then imitate their good behaviors and learn from their bad behaviors.
Tip 2. Make sure you ask for demonstrations if you are unsure of how something is done. It is also handy to discover the strategies behind procedures and tasks, this will enable you to not only do the job but understand it thoroughly.
Tip 3. If you don’t know something – ask! It is much easier to learn from a knowledgeable co-worker instead of laboriously trying to tackle the issue yourself and wasting time in the long run.
Every day is a new opportunity to learn something, so take time to learn from your co-workers and improve your own skills.
