Work within one of Canberra's large Government departments as their Websphere Specialist. You will be responsible for Installation; Patching and upgrades; Performance Tuning; Scripting and Documentation.
Key duties:
- Middleware technical resource on new application projects and for Problem resolution teams
- Resolution of Incidents
- Support for Changes and Releases
- SME support
Required skills and experiences:
- Experience supporting the Websphere Suite of Products.
- Experience with Unix systems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Excellent fault finding & problem analysis.
- Ability to prioritise work loads in a complex environment and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to liaise with technical outsource's.
- ITIL framework
Desirable:
- Experience with the Intel/Windows.
- Familiarity with Incident & Problem Management Processes.
- Experience with Shell Scripting, JACL scripting & Rational Buildforge.
- Experience with one or more for the following: Java, XML Forms, HTML and JavaScript.
