As the Works Supervisor you will be responsible for the scope of work to meet contractual requirements and effective delivery of contract services to day to day supervision of sub contractors and supply services. You will be required to develop ‘scopes of work’ that will be issued to subcontractors.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate commercial acumen and ensure that service quality and contract standards are met by sub contractors. All works must meet standards and relevant statutory requirements. As the supervisor you will undertake regular assessments of subcontractor performance.

You will enjoy liaising with a variety of people and making sure that you can work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Your primary objectives will be to:

• Develop and maintain scopes of work
• Have the ability to prepare reports
• Supervising subcontractors
• Report progress and completion of works daily

The ideal person for this role will have:

- Attention to detail
- Experience in domestic building industry
- Knowledge of work planning and scheduling procedures
- Supervisor and monitoring subcontractors and suppliers
- Proactive and have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Able to negotiate with contracts and suppliers
- Be familiar with OH&S and Building Regulations
- Proficient with computers
- A carpentry or building background

Ideally you would have supervisory experience and able to work autonomously and the ability to make things happen!

This is a temp / contract role until mid 2012 with the possibility of going permanent.
