The Tasmanian division is seeking Transmission Linesmen Cert II or Cert III and Supervisors These roles will supplement their permanent Tasmanian work force that will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of the states 220kV and 110kV High Voltage power supply grid. Based in Tasmania, you will be responsible for completing and/or assisting with transmission maintenance and construction tasks to ensure the safe, timely and cost effective completion of work. The competencies required to be successful in this role are: • Previous experience in the transmission power industry • High Voltage power supply experience • Associated certificate of competency as an Electrical Transmission Linesperson and / or a Electrical Fitter Mechanic • Experience in running out conductor and clamping in (Essential) • Tower and or Pole Top Rescue (Advanced Rigger an advantage) • Drivers licence (MR Licence an advantage) • Current 1st Aid Certification • Ability to work at height A Practitioners license is mandatory in Tasmania and there is scope to train successful candidates who do not have this qualification.
